About CORE
What Is Core (CORE)?
Core (CORE) is built as an [L1 blockchain] that is compatible with Ethereum Virtual Machine ([EVM]), therefore it can run [Ethereum] [smart contracts] and decentralized applications ([dApps]). The Core network is powered by the “Satoshi Plus” [consensus mechanism], which secures the network through a combination of delegated Bitcoin's [mining] hash and delegated Proof-of-Stake ([DPoS]). The protocol is backed by its native token, CORE. The developers of the project strive to create an infrastructure that operates at the core of [web 3.0], offering revolutionary ideas to solve the [blockchain trilemma]. The mainnet was launched in January 2023. The blockchain is governed by a decentralized autonomous organization ([DAO]), where the Core DAO is responsible for the development of the Satoshi Plus ecosystem.

ByteDance's acquisitions are primarily driven by the founders. Unlike traditional resource-complementary (Tencent) or market-capital-oriented (Alibaba) mergers, ByteDance prefers to absorb the entire founding team, granting them significant internal authority and resource support to recreate substantial value within the platform. 1. Zhang Nan: Founder of the image community Tuba, joined in 2013. He built Douyin and Huoshan Video from scratch, propelled the development of CapCut, and is also the head of Jimu. The globally popular Seedance is under Jimu. 2. Zhu Jun: Founder of Musically.ly, joined in 2017. Formerly responsible for TikTok's globalization strategy, currently head of Doubao. 3. Guo Lie: Founder of Faceu, joined in 2018. A core member of the CapCut team, providing AR effects and visual technology support for Douyin/TikTok. 4. Yuan Jing: Formerly at Mutton Technology, joined in 2021. ByteDance's gaming division maintains its dominance in overseas markets with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Honor of Kings: Bang Bang. 5. Luo Yonghao: Smartisan Technology. After ByteDance acquired the Smartisan team and patents in 2019, it signed an exclusive live streaming agreement with Douyin in 2020, leading to a surge of newcomers in the live streaming sector.

Before its acquisition, X had over 1,500 employees. Following the acquisition, the core team consists of approximately 30 people, primarily engineers, while another 30 work at xAI, developing a pure AI-based recommendation system. A social platform serving 600 million monthly active users globally has had its workforce reduced to around 60 people. This is a tremendous success for Musk personally, but also a tragedy for most ordinary people.

I believe we can achieve a win-win-win solution that benefits the cryptocurrency market structure, advancing the president's cryptocurrency agenda while addressing banks' concerns. We will always prioritize the best interests of cryptocurrency users. We are fully committed—we were pioneers advocating for this long before the market structure concept became popular, and we will continue to be. The GENIUS Act, passed six months ago, is now facing reconsideration. This will have a profound impact on our customers. Coinbase participated in the last two White House meetings, and the cryptocurrency industry has expressed its support. We have made significant progress on the path to a win-win situation for the White House, banks, and cryptocurrencies, and we will continue to advocate for solutions that are most beneficial to cryptocurrency users, especially core consumer benefits like rewards.

First @Uniswap, then @aave—these blue-chip DeFi tokens are setting benchmarks and leading the trend. Aave has just launched AWW (“Aave Will Win”), a framework designed to prepare Aave for the new DeFi era and trillions of dollars in on-chain transactions to come. Core requirements: DAO approval of a new operating model: - 100% Aave-branded product revenue → DAO - Aave V4 as the core foundation - Brand protection framework - Budget for growth and execution This is key to rebuilding the credibility of DeFi tokens. This is significant for Aave.

🔔Federal Reserve Document Proposes Initial Margin Weights for Cryptocurrency Derivatives According to a report by Cointelegraph, a new analysis released by the Federal Reserve on Wednesday proposes that cryptocurrencies should be classified as a separate asset class for initial margin requirements in the "unsettled" derivatives market (including over-the-counter transactions and other transactions not conducted through a centralized clearinghouse). The report points out that the volatility of floating crypto assets such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, as well as pegged crypto assets such as stablecoins, differs significantly from traditional asset classes, making it impossible to apply the existing risk classifications used in standardized initial margin models for interest rates, stocks, foreign exchange, and commodities. The authors suggest assigning differentiated risk weights to these two types of crypto assets and calibrating more accurate risk weights by constructing a benchmark index with equal weighting for floating digital assets and pegged stablecoins, serving as a proxy variable to simulate the volatility and behavior of the crypto market. Initial margin is a core risk control mechanism in the derivatives market, requiring traders to pledge collateral to mitigate the risk of counterparty default. The high volatility of crypto assets means that traders need to provide a higher proportion of collateral buffers. The report reflects the technical preparations being made at the U.S. federal level for integrating crypto assets into the existing regulatory framework.

Coinbase Releases Earnings Report. Coinbase Global (NASDAQ: COIN) released its Q4 2025 earnings report after the US stock market closed on February 12, 2026. The report showed that both revenue and profit significantly missed expectations, a stark contrast to recent profit momentum. Key Q4 2025 figures (ending December 31, 2025): GAAP net loss: $667 million (or $666.7 million), the first net loss since Q3 2023, compared to a profit of $1.3 billion in Q4 2024. GAAP earnings per share: -$2.49, below analysts' expectations of $0.55 to $0.96 (data source slightly different; however, the general consensus is that the underperformance was unexpected). Adjusted (non-GAAP) earnings per share: $0.66, below the market consensus of $0.86 to $0.96. Total revenue: $1.78 billion – a 21.6% decrease year-over-year (from $2.27 billion in the same period last year), below the previous expectation of approximately $1.83 billion. It also decreased by 5% sequentially. Transaction revenue (core transaction fees): $983 million, a 36% decrease year-over-year and a 6% decrease sequentially. Subscription and service revenue (stablecoins, custody, etc.): $727 million, relatively stable, but still a 3% decrease sequentially. What caused the GAAP loss? The $667 million net loss was primarily due to non-cash accounting factors: an unrealized loss of $718 million from Coinbase's own cryptocurrency portfolio (this loss was revised downwards due to the significant decline in Bitcoin and other tokens in the fourth quarter). Additional losses from strategic investments (e.g., the holding in Circle, whose price fell by approximately 40% sequentially).

Transaction Relay Filters and Bitcoin Core Defaults There seems to be considerable misunderstanding regarding transaction relay filters on the Bitcoin network, particularly the chronological order of events. For example, did the relay filters malfunction before or after Bitcoin Core changed its default settings? Regarding filters below 1 sat/vbyte, @OrangeSurfBTC created a clear image showing the number of transactions below 1 sat/vbyte. The chronological order is clear: Bitcoin Core merged the relevant PR on August 15, 2025, and the client was released on September 5, 2025. By then, the volume of transactions below 1 sat/vbyte had grown from almost zero to nearly 30% of the total. This makes it clear that Bitcoin Core reacts to network conditions without altering network behavior. Regarding large OP_Return transactions, it's difficult to draw definitive conclusions due to the scarcity of on-chain data. However, some such transactions have been occurring since 2013-2014. Currently, due to lower write costs, there is little incentive to generate OP_Return outputs larger than 145 bytes. Based on our very limited testing, large OP_Return output transactions can be reliably forwarded without preferential peer connections, at least from July 2025. Prior to this, there were several on-chain services that provided access to large OP_Return outputs, and these services were quite convenient to use. Bitcoin Core v30 was released in October 2025. As shown in the table below, the number of large OP_Returns on-chain has not increased significantly because they are either reliably forwarded or forwarded by Bitcoin Core as standard practice. Again, it appears that the network conditions changed first, and then Bitcoin Core updated its default settings.

OpenAI's Cerebras chip is quite interesting 😅 1. Wafer-Scale: The world's largest chip, as big as a face! 😅 Transistor Count: 4 trillion transistors (for comparison, the H100 only has 80 billion). 2. Extremely High On-Chip SRAM Bandwidth This is Cerebras' core weapon that allows it to outperform GPUs. Eliminating Bottlenecks: In traditional GPU architectures, model calculations require frequent data transfer between video memory (HBM) and computing cores, resulting in huge energy consumption and latency. (While memory computing dilutes the growth rate of HBM, the market is large enough, and SRAM is also expensive, posing little threat to the three giants Samsung, Hynix, and Micron in the early stages.) Full On-Chip Storage: Cerebras boasts up to 44GB of on-chip SRAM memory, with a bandwidth of 21 PB (PetaBytes) per second. This means that most of the model's weights can be stored entirely on the chip, with read/write speeds thousands of times faster than GPU memory, enabling "instantaneous" inference like OpenAI models. 3. Extremely Simple Programming and Expansion Single Machine as Cluster: Due to the chip's large size, the computing power of a single Cerebras node (CS-3) is equivalent to dozens or even hundreds of traditional GPU nodes. No Need to Split the Model: Developers don't need to split a large model into many parts and consider complex cross-server communication (Model Parallelism) as on GPU clusters. From Cerebras' perspective, the entire model runs on a single chip. 4. Sparse Optimization for Large Language Models (LLM) Handling Zero Values: Many weights in AI models are "zero" (sparseness), and traditional GPUs still perform ineffective calculations on these zeros. The Cerebras chip has a built-in sparse computing engine that can directly skip zero values, thereby further extracting performance.
